From 'fertilizer to fork': food accounts for a quarter of the world's greenhouse gas emissions

Mongabay: Growing, transporting, refrigerating, and wasting food accounts for somewhere between 19-29 percent of the world's greenhouse gas emissions in 2008, according to a new analysis by the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).
