Butterflies move north as climate warms
Mother Nature Network: Native butterflies are vanishing from parts of the U.S. Northeast, a new Harvard University study finds, while warmer-natured southerners are increasingly invading their turf. This coincides with a half-century warming trend in the region, raising concerns that these rapid ecological shifts are a symptom of climate change.
