Barring Unusual Cold, 2012 Will Be Hottest Year on Record

Climate Central: The U.S. has experienced its warmest year-to-date (January-August) on record, and unless the next four months are about as cold as the first eight months were hot, 2012 will go down as the hottest year on record.
