Shell Violated Air Permits for Arctic Ships, E.P.A. Says

New York Times: The Environmental Protection Agency says that Shell committed numerous violations of the air pollution permits for its two Arctic drill ships, adding to the company's catalog of Alaskan offshore woes. The agency said late Thursday that the drill ships, the Noble Discoverer and the Kulluk, had repeatedly allowed excess nitrogen oxides to escape during the abbreviated 2012 drilling season last summer and fall.
