The ZBB EnerSystem is now used as the hub for the building and elevator system utilizing power from the grid and renewable energy. This system manages the energy output from the 20kW PV array, stores regenerated power from the elevator braking system and allows the elevator to be operated during emergency situations, or extended power outages, without a diesel generator.
