Carbon Emissions Declined 23 Percent Under Regional U.S. Program

Yale Environment 360: Power plants subject to a regional cap-and-trade program in the northeastern U.S. known as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) reduced their carbon dioxide emissions by an average of 23 percent during the first three years of the program, the group says.
