EPA Announces Lead-Safe Renovation Fines

Subtitle:

Three violations of the agency's lead safe rule are resolved as contractors agree to pay penalties, with fines ranging from $1,500 to $10,000

The Environmental Protection Agency [announced last week][3] that it had imposed fines for three violations the Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP), which is designed to ensure that renovation activities that can create lead dust are conducted properly by trained and certified contractors or individuals.
